We love this decidedly quirky limoges box depicting a beach hut. Made in Limoges France from the finest porcelain it has been hand painted with jaunty green stripes and a sunshine yellow door. A distinctive feature of all authentic limoges boxes is the the decorative hinged metal mount. These are often stylized with appropriate motifs and decoration to add to the character and charm of the box. This beach hut box has a wavy line to symbolize the sea and ships anchor on the mount. The box opens to reveal a painted beach towel on the base of the interior. A wonderful gift for collectors.
